In the last post, Cookware Love and I, announced that we were giving away a spiralizer!
In this post, we tell you how you can make quick and easy recipes with that awesome new spiralizer that you’re going to win.
The easiest and quickest way to use your spiralizer is to give your salads an extra oomph. Also, if you’re like me and hate chopping carrots and beets, the spiralizer is a really fun way to avoid chopping. If you’re cloudy on how to use the spiralizer, check out Cookware Love’s blog post.
This apple, beet, and carrot recipe took me only 15-minutes to make and was soooo tasty. Not to mention, healthy and cheap if you put a reasonable amount of dressing. I never use a reasonable amount of dressing. Impulse control is a real thing, guys.
Apple, Beet, and Carrot Salad (Serves 2)
(Serves 2)
Ingredients:
For the Salad:
- 1 spiralized beet
- 1 spiralized carrot
- 1 Apple
For the Dressing:
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- Dried Italian herbs
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Method:
- Slice the apple into using a mandoline slicer to make paper-thin apple shavings. If you don’t have a mandoline, you can just cut it into chunks. Add the spiralized beet and carrot to the apple shavings in a salad bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients of the dressing. Leave out the chilli flakes if you can’t take the heat. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix well and enjoy.
And that’s it. It’s as easy as that. To make this at home, enter our SPIRALIZER GIVE-AWAY in the previous post and make food fun!
